This Character Set is to be used in conjunction with the Double-Sided Monkey Mitt and easily attaches to the fingers with Velcro. The set includes 10 characters, the words to the Rhyme, 2 Songs and 6 Activity Suggestions.
The Words to the Rhyme:
Ten little bears sitting by a pine,
One ran away and then there were nine.
Nine little bears running awfully late,
One took a shortcut and then there were eight.
Eight little bears counting to eleven,
One fell asleep and then there were seven.
Seven little bears picking up sticks,
One followed a butterfly and then there were six.
Six little bears going for a drive,
One got out and then there were five.
Five little bears dancing on the floor,
One fell down and then there were four.
Four little bears climbing up a tree,
One found a beehive and then there were three.
Three little bears wondering what to do,
One went for a swim and then there were two.

One little bear missing all his brothers
Wished upon a star and ran home to Mother.
Sample Activity Suggestion: Go on a Bear Hunt in your classroom. Hide the bear before the children arrive. Provide them with clues and let the hunt begin. Divide in to teams or search in one big group. Try chanting the words to Goin’ on a Bear Hunt while searching.
